We recognize that, as Christians, we are on mission for Jesus Christ.  We see  this clearly in the last words that Jesus spoke before ascending to heaven:

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth.

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son,

and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:

and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”    (Matthew 28:18-20 KJV)

We are commissioned by Christ to share Him locally and globally.  We support the advancement of the Gospel of Jesus Christ by supporting the International Mission Board, the North American Mission Board, the Georgia Baptist Convention, and our local Baptist Association, the Thomas County Baptist Association.  We regularly find ways to share our faith right here in the City of Pavo.  Each year we set up a booth at Peacock Day to witness to the local community.

Pavo Baptist Church supports missions through regular Sunday offerings and special offerings like the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering and the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.  These offerings go to empower missionaries around the world to spread the gospel of Christ.
